Sichuan fishing unlike anything

This isnt my usual group of fishing buddies but needless to say we all enjoy fishing as well. So our school sent us on an exchange programme to China! Somehow this was more of a lucky stumble upon a gold mine.just next to our hotel was a fishing pond!what's in it?only awesomeness!

so whats the rate like?it cost us no more than 50 cents SGD for a telescope rod with no reel but a line attached at the end of it!

but for how long?AS LONG AS YOU LIKED!there was no time limit at all so naturally we fished till the night!

we were provided a storage net and bait.
bait was basically fish feed that was mashed with water and flour and rolled into a ball.

so what was in the water??to our surpise, a fish that will never enter singapore alive. this is the invasive CARPS!not just any carp but big head carp and mirror carps!they pack a punch and fight hard!so hard that we nearly lost the rod to the fish a few times!
a close up view of one of the fishes!more pics?definitely!
all were of very decent sizes and it was a lot of fun bringing every single one up!

in fact it was so good that we went for a second time!
just fish after fish being brought up!imagine if we brought a reel there!the fight would have been even more intense!

there's only one thing to do with an invasive species...EAT THEM ALL!
We brought our catches to different restaurants and they willingly cooked them for us!

that's all we have on our wonderful adventure so stay tuned!

Cheers and peace out!
