Snell knot for hooks with illustrations(pictures)

There are many ways to tie a hook knot but none is more secure than the snell knot. The strength lies in the amount of loops you make around the hook.
this knot gets stronger with increasing pressure so if there is a big fish on the line you need not worry of the knot ever loosening!
tread the line through the hook ring
 perform a loop
wrap the loop around the hook and the excess string which is sticking out

wrap at least 5 times to make a secure knot
pull the excessive string to tighten the knot

pull down the knot and cut away the excessive string
Pretty simple right?all the best!
cheers and peace out!

Apollo Rig with illustrations(pictures) for surgeon knot

Apollo Rig also known as the "fish Finder" is the most common and simplest of all knots and rigs.It is regarded as the best rig for fishing and is highly recommended  for all fishing trips. It caters to top and bottom fishes and almost guarantees a catch.
Surgeon knot is used for this rig but if you're more advanced, you can attempt the T-knot for this rig.
but for now lets stick to basics.
One long line leader and a small short snood line.

make a basic knot but do not pull yet.
make a second loop and pull to form a knot
it should look something like that
repeat this step twice and you'll get a full apollo rig

cheers and peace out!

swivel Knot with illustrations(pictures)

this is one of the most important knots you'll ever need to know!
First make a loop.Left over right is what I usually do.

pull down the loop so that the top of the loop touches the right side of the line.

using the top and middle section, twirl at least 3 times around each other
this is the result after 3 rounds.
so if you lay it down,it looks like this!simple right?but the complex part of this rig is about to begin.

take the bottom section of the line and trace it inbetween the hole formed by the twirled line.
remember to keep the top loop up with a finger or you can alternatively use your mouth to hold it.
slowly pull the sides apart.it should look something like this. IF the loop starts to shrink,it's definitely the wrong technique of pulling it and you may need to restart if its ruined.
the completed knot should look like this and nothing else!

Cheers and peace out!

T knot with illustrations(pictures)

T-knot, one of the most difficult knots to tie if you're just starting out but something that you'll master well with enough practice.
many online forums will illustrate the common T-knot tying concept. But here,we're going to make a T-knot that utilizes the basic knots that you might already know.
Swivel Knot and the Snell knot combined! If you're unfamiliar with these, do check out the other posts first!

First off is tying a swivel knot.ensure you leave excessive amount of line for the snood and to tie the snell knot.

a close up view of the swivel knot.instead of the usual 3 rounds,do at least 6 rounds.

Next, cut the connected line into 2.ensure one is longer than the other. The shorter side will be used to tie the snell knot.and the longer side will be the snood.
This will be the completed snell knot. about 5-10 rounds is sufficent for the snell.
notice how theres a gap in the middle which many people starting out will encounter. no worries just take a look at the next step to solve this.
simply hold the snell in one hand and pull the snood line and the snell will slide down into place, connecting the snell with the swivel knot.
When you're more experience, you need not do this step because the snell would be closer the swivel knot once more practice is done.

you might encounter some cramps in your fingers at first so all the best!
Most hardcore knot you'll ever learn.this improvised knot has seen many barramundi hook ups with ease!so dont doubt it till you've tried it!

cheers and peace out!
