There are many ways to tie a hook knot but none is more secure than the snell knot. The strength lies in the amount of loops you make around the hook.
this knot gets stronger with increasing pressure so if there is a big fish on the line you need not worry of the knot ever loosening!
tread the line through the hook ring
perform a loop
wrap the loop around the hook and the excess string which is sticking out
wrap at least 5 times to make a secure knot
pull the excessive string to tighten the knot
pull down the knot and cut away the excessive string
Pretty simple right?all the best!
cheers and peace out!
