Pond Star

Hello there fellows!

Today a couple of us are going to Farmway 3 for some pond fishing!
This place does a CnR [catch and release] $30 for 12hrs!!!! super value!! Ghetto man like!
There sell chicken liver bait, which is super effective, and super cheap! $2 for a big bag! Score point in my Ghetto book!

So down there right, Alot of people got different techniques and styles, alot of lurers too! But Ghetto man here like baiting, cause luring very exp... So we're doing a simple Rig here.

1 long line ending with a hook! Split shot in the middle, and there you go!!! sooo simple!

Because we're using chicken liver right, sometimes it falls all over the place and not really secured. So i use this little trick. You go to any dollar shops, ask for elastic thread. This baby is wonderful for any kind of soft baits. Frozen fish baits, that fall apart too easily? no worries mate! just use this elastic thread baby!

So you cut out a chunk of liver, hook it a couple of times, then u take ur elastic thread, go round a couple of times and snap it off! Done! no need loops and knots and whatever. V. secure one! Ghetto Stamp of Approval!

The pond itself holds a wide variety of fresh water fish, hopfully we can catch paku? Gar? KBL? RedTail? Chaopraya Cat, Mekong Cat, Redtail Cat. all the meow meow come out at night!

So things to bring!
Tackle, Reel, Rod, Cloth, Scissors.
Water, Mozzie repellent, Food, jacket.

These basic stuffs will keep you going all the way! Always remember to bring things that increase your comfort levels, then you will be motivated to keep fishing!!! Hungry or wet or itchy very emo one!! So bring lots of things to keep your energy up!

So actually this was like a week or more ago.. but i very tilted never catch any fish... then Bryan chan caught big KBL next few day. so i super tilt max.. refer to his post...

So ok. quite unlucky this trip. Bryan and I had few bites, and almost zero hook ups.. almost zero because we caught Tilapia. and that just sucks...
Niki and his friends caught all the meow meow including a Red tail catfish! so lucky!! very exciting for his friends as it was their first time. Fight super long, then manage to bring it up. That sense of satisfaction!

Anyway do try them out! they will be trying to extend their lease so they dont have to close year end! this pond by far one of our favs cause its cheap and its good!
